Unlimited Users In keeping with the eClinicalWorks license agreement, any number of providers and staff can access your practice's eClinicalWorks data through our VPN-based hosting service at no additional charge. Once you're connected, how you use the VPN tunnel is up to you.
Anywhere Access Road warriors can access the same eClinicalWorks charts from home, hospital, or hotel room through Microsoft Remote Desktop. Unlike some Remote Desktop implementations, MyCharts.MD offers robust support for your local printers and scanners while you are in a terminal server session. With these two options, we offer the best of both worlds: "fat client" or "thin client," depending on your need.
Redundant Architecture Under our Basic Hosting Plan, your practice benefits from a powerful eClinicalWorks infrastructure deployed on multiple clusters of application servers, database servers, terminal servers, and load balancers, in one the world's fastest, best protected, and most reliable data centers. You simply can't get that kind of infrastructure in your local office. But do you really need it? Can't you just install a server in your practice and host it yourself? The answer depends on how much your patient care and business operations would suffer if your local server became unavailable for more that a few hours due to hardware failure, fire, flood, or theft.
Data Backup At MyCharts.MD, your data exists in several places. Your databases and scanned images live on independent RAID hard drive arrays located on multiple "mirrored" servers. Further, the data is backed up to a third media archive each night. MyCharts.MD does it all for you, so you never have to worry whether your staff is on top of backups or whether they are being done correctly.
eClinicalWorks Certified Staff At this writing, over 5000 eClinicalWorks installations have been performed nation wide. Our first was number 128. We're certified in eClinicalWorks and we know how eClinicalWorks servers are supposed to be maintained..
